The Bank of Khyber (BOK) has been around for more than three decades, quietly growing its presence and credibility across Pakistan. We’re not just expanding our network—we’re evolving how banking feels and functions. As part of this journey, we’re on the lookout for strong-willed and competent professionals who know what it takes to lead at the branch level.
Now, for our Burewala branch, we’re hiring a Branch Manager—someone who doesn’t just manage operations, but knows how to connect, lead, and inspire.
If you think this role is just about numbers or signing off on daily ledgers, think again. Being a Branch Manager at BOK means you’re wearing several hats at once. From leading a team of bankers to pushing deposit growth, delivering top-notch service, and keeping everything compliant, this job has layers. It’s dynamic, and yes, sometimes even chaotic—but in the best way possible.
You’ll be responsible for running the branch like it’s your own business unit. Not just that, you’ll be the one ensuring your team performs, customers stay happy, and the branch remains efficient and audit-ready.
Driving Deposit Growth: You’ll be setting the pace and pushing the numbers—meeting monthly deposit targets, onboarding new clients, and deepening relationships with existing ones. Focus will be on CASA (Current and Savings Accounts), but a broader deposit base matters too.
Team Supervision: Expect to guide, evaluate, and—yes—motivate your team. Their performance reflects your leadership. Whether it’s weekly meetings or on-the-spot feedback, your support will make the difference.
Client Relations: Customers come first. Whether it’s resolving complaints or making their experience more streamlined, your job is to make sure no one walks out frustrated. You’ll also represent the bank in the community and occasionally bring in high-value clients yourself.
Operational Oversight: Keep the branch running smoothly. Ensure everything from cash handling to compliance follows bank policy and the regulations set by SBP. And yes, be ready for audits. Your goal? A clean, high-grade audit report.
Performance Appraisals: You’ll conduct regular reviews for your staff, set realistic KPIs, and help team members grow. Great branches are made of great people—and you’re in charge of helping them get there.
Compliance & Quality: Follow the rules—but more importantly, make sure your team does too. You’ll need to stay current on policies, SBP updates, and internal SOPs. And don’t worry—training support is there if needed.
You don’t have to know everything, but you do need to have the right mix of experience, mindset, and leadership. We’re looking for someone who knows the ins and outs of retail banking, can handle the pressure of targets, and still keeps a level head.
A Bachelor’s degree (at minimum) from an HEC-recognized local or international university.
Candidates holding a Master’s degree will be prioritized—but that doesn’t mean Bachelor’s isn’t good enough.
At least 3 years in the retail sales side of banking—ideally focused on liabilities or consumer products.
Prior experience managing a branch is a strong plus. If you’ve done this in Islamic Banking, that’s an added advantage.
Solid understanding of banking products and customer relationship handling
Leadership and coaching abilities to manage a small-to-medium-sized team
Strong interpersonal communication skills—because relationships matter here
Operational knowledge and a sharp eye for compliance and internal controls
Ability to work under pressure (we won’t sugarcoat that part)
Well, here’s why we think it’s a great opportunity:
You’re trusted: As a Branch Manager, you’re not micromanaged. You’re expected to lead, not just follow rules.
It’s stable, but not boring: The banking sector is evolving fast, and so is BOK. There’s room to grow, challenge yourself, and try new things.
The benefits aren’t bad either: We offer a competitive salary, performance-based incentives, and various allowances to keep you comfortable and motivated.
At Bank of Khyber, we genuinely believe in equal opportunities. That means everyone—women, persons with disabilities (PWDs), minorities, and transgender candidates—is encouraged to apply. We evaluate every application on merit and merit alone.
