The Bank of Khyber is steadily evolving into a major player in Pakistan’s financial industry. With strategic growth, a focus on stability, and increasing involvement in capital markets, the role of Chief Dealer is one we take very seriously. This isn’t just a senior position—it’s one where your decisions actually shape the bank’s treasury posture, profitability, and market credibility.
If you’ve navigated treasury cycles, overseen FX execution, and managed money market flows, you’ve likely already built the skills needed. What we’re looking for now is someone who can step up, lead a desk, mentor a team, and drive results reliably—even when the markets are unsettled.
You’ll be heading up treasury operations, meaning responsibility for the money market desk, FX trading, and fixed-income securities. But it’s not just execution—it’s about strategic thinking. You’ll analyze market conditions, anticipate central bank moves, and offer guidance on liquidity management and trading strategies. Expect to partner closely with risk and compliance teams, ensuring every trade aligns with regulatory frameworks and internal policy.
There’s a mentorship component too: you’ll be developing junior dealers, monitoring their performance, sharing insights, and guiding them through complex market scenarios. Also, you’ll work alongside international banks, negotiate pricing and trade strategies, and help shape treasury’s long-term approach.
Education: At least a Bachelor’s degree, ideally in finance, economics, or business from a recognized institute (local or foreign). Additional certifications like ACI Dealing Certificate, FRM, or Treasury Diploma will give you a leg up.
Experience: You should bring at least 15 years in treasury roles, with a minimum of 3 years in a lead or senior capacity. This role fits someone who has already seen market cycles, managed portfolio risks, and worked in complex institutional settings.
Technically Focused: You should be comfortable with money market mechanics, FX hedging, and securities markets. If you’ve worked in Islamic banking treasury environments before, we especially want to hear from you.
This isn’t a remote desk job—you’ll be based in Karachi and expected to stay connected with financial hubs, regulatory bodies, and institutional partners. You’ll have a voice in treasury-level decisions affecting pricing, counterparty engagement, and funding strategy. Plus, you’ll live in a city where major financial decisions happen daily; connectivity matters.
You’ll also be working in an environment that values inclusivity and forward thinking. We’re serious about diverse hiring—women, PWDs, transgenders, and people from varied backgrounds are all encouraged to apply. If you match the criteria and show the right strategic mindset, you’re welcome here.
You walk into the treasury wing early in the morning. First order of business: review overnight liquidity transfers, align with projections, and prep your team for the day. A quick call with a regional bank about interbank rates comes in, followed by a briefing with compliance to confirm execution procedures. Back at your desk, you review derivatives exposures, consider hedging suggestions, and touch base with your team on live FX quotes. By late afternoon, you’re reviewing the performance of open positions, checking ALM ratios, and planning strategy updates for the next 24 hours. And of course, you’re preparing feedback for at least one or two team members—helping them refine their approach while also keeping operations smooth.
This isn’t just another senior treasury job—it’s an opportunity to lead, to shape strategy, and to help build something sustainable. You’ll operate as a decision-maker, not just an executor. You’ll be influencing the bank’s risk-return balance and parking pockets of liquidity wisely. You’ll mentor others who are just starting their own treasury journeys.
At BOK, your role has visibility and impact. And when things get complex, you won’t just have authority—you’ll have clarity, resources, and trust to act.
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
No TA/DA will be provided.
Merit-based hiring only—everyone treated equally.
Applications from all backgrounds are encouraged.
